Golden eyeshadow tutorial - Prom perfect

Recently i've been venturing into the world of eyeshadow, up until about 3 months ago i'd always thought of using eyeshadow as quite a scary prospect, so i stuck to my good old eyeliners; However since purchasing 2 budget eyeshadow palettes i've been experimenting with technique and colours, and have found myself completely immersed in the world eyeshadow. So here's a quick and easy tutorial of my favourite golden    eyeshadow look right now, and hopefully i can help prove to sceptics like my old self that creating stunning look's with eyeshadow is easier and cheaper than you think!:)

Sleek Palette - Storm £7.99 ( http://www.sleekmakeup.com/eyes/shadows/i-divine )

MUA palette - Undress £4 ( http://www.superdrug.com/mua-pro-pallette-undressed/invt/501051 )

-To start with prime the entire eyelid with an eyeshadow primer, I use MAC's Paint pot in Painterly

- I then used a piece of cello-tape and placed it along the edge of my eye, going up past my eye lid in the direction from my lower lash line, ( It's hard to explain but where the line of eyeshadow shows on the photo by the outer corner)

1- Cover the entire lid in colour 2, use a flat eyeshadow brush or your clean finger, then carry the colour down through the tear-duct and along the inside of your lower lash line.

2- Take number 2 matte brown colour through the crease of the eye, and apply it lightly to the outer third of your lower lash line, i used real Techniques deluxe crease brush.

3- Put colour 3 on the outer third of your eyelid, running it lightly though the outer edges of your upper lash line and the crease slightly in a V shape.

4- Colour 4, take this on the crease brush and make sure you tap off the excess first, and run this along the very edge of the outer V shape along the tape edge and into the outer crease, then blend this together with a fluffy eyeshadow brush. Then take the same colour of an angled brush and push it along your upper lash line, and in the outer third of your lower lashes.

5- Take colour 5 on a small eyeliner brush, i used real techniques pixel point eyeliner brush and placed this as close to the upper lash line as possible, this step is optional depending on how dramatic you want your look to be

6- Take off the tape, and blend along your lower and upper lash line until it's perfectly blended and smokey, don't be afraid to go back and add colour where you feel it's needed; finish by cleaning up under the eye with concealer and a coat of mascara, I used Maybelline the rocket mascara in black.

Remember practice makes perfect, Good luck!:)
