Autumnal Lips

Autumn is the perfect excuse to start switching up our makeup products, opting for warmer and darker colours to match that warm and cosy autumn feeling, even though in reality here in the UK it's already painfully cold and wet; but none the less sporting a warm red or plum lip can help put an extra spring in our step, no matter what the weather.

(Left-Right: MAC Rebel, Rimmel Kate Moss 107, MAC Syrup)

These are my current to go lip colours of autumn so far, MAC Rebel is a gorgeous deep pink plum colour, and although it looks quite dark and scary in the stick, as you can see in the swatch it's not actually as scary as it may first appear; i love the satin finish of this shade, and i think it looks beautiful with a neutral eye look. The Second is Kate Moss by Rimmel matte lipstick in 107, this is a warm toned deep red shade, perfect for that high fashion dark lip look, i love the formula of this lipstick, it glide on beautifully, and stays looking marvellously matte without over drying my lips.

Then a less adventurous colour is Syrup by MAC, i'd describe this colour as a muted nude plum colour, kind of a mauve i guess. I just love this colour as a warmer alternative to my usual nude lipsticks, i also love using this shade to help create an ombre lip, using this shade all over my lips, and then using Rebel on the outer edges to create the ombre effect, as these to colours blend together perfectly.

What are your favourite shades for Autumn?:)
